Pat had a successful career in the Canadian Forces,
Air Element, rising to the rank of Squadron Leader.
He spent many years as a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion, transferring into the Barrhaven
Branch 641 when it was originally chartered in 2005.
Pat served for three years as the Sergeant-At-Arms and was the Parade commander for four years. He also involved in making all the arrangement for the Barrhaven Remembrance Day Ceremonies, even ensuring the food, parking lot and halls were booked. When he stepped down from this position the Branch made him an honourary Sergeant –At-Arms for life. Just before he passed away, on January 5, 2010, following a brief illness, he was awarded Life Membership in the Royal Canadian Legion by the Barrhaven Branch 641. We will remember him! |
