Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven
Donates $10,000 to Roger’s House

Members of Branch 641 had the privilege of receiving a guided tour of Roger’s House on Monday, February 1, 2016, by Marion Rattray, Manager of CHEO Palliative Care Program.

The tour gave us an appreciation how our donation is helping the families that use Roger’s House.

The Barrhaven Community Cenotaph Project is a joint community initiative led by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven and supported by MP Pierre Poilievre to honour those who have served, through the creation of a memorial park and cenotaph.

This memorial park will be built on land adjacent to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police National Headquarters on Leiken Drive in Barrhaven. The park will provide an area for remembrance and reflection. As well, it will provide a location for Remembrance Day ceremonies.

The fundraising goal to build this memorial park and cenotaph is $180,000. Funds will be raised from members of the Barrhaven community, businesses and service groups.

Your support is appreciated.
